A head coach, an ex-pro, and a coach who's walked the same path as you. We all bring something different, and we're all in this with you.
Tim's the coaching brain behind everything. Based in Wanaka, New Zealand, he's coached at the Olympic level, worked with Commonwealth Games representatives, and helped pros win iron-distance races around the world. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's in Physical Education from Otago and is an IRONMAN University Certified Coach.
But the work he loves most is taking someone who's just signed up for their first sprint and showing them they can do something they didn't think was possible. The principles don't change whether you're chasing Kona or your local sprint. Structure matters. Recovery matters. Understanding why you're doing what you're doing matters most of all.
I don't just want to tell you what to do. I want you to understand why. An athlete who gets their training makes better decisions on race day and stays in this sport for the long haul.Cal raced professionally for years, sixteen podiums, multiple 70.3 wins, going head to head with legends like Craig Alexander and Cameron Brown. He once won a 70.3 by three seconds. Three. When he retired from pro racing he built the Cupcake Cartel, a global triathlon team, and he's now back racing as an age grouper with the fire burning just as hot.
That pro experience is something you can't fake. Cal brings the insight you only get from racing at the very sharp end, what actually matters on race day, what's noise, and how to keep loving the sport while you chase something big.
Real coaching, real community, totally accessible. Your tribe is here. Now let's get fast.Em came into this sport with no athletic background at all. Four years ago she was 148 kilos, taught herself to run from YouTube, and got injured almost immediately because nobody told her what she was doing wrong. She figured it out the hard way, alone, and went all the way to the Ironman World Championship in Kona.
That journey is exactly why she does what she does. She knows firsthand the difference between trying to work it out on your own and having people in your corner who actually know their stuff. She leads the Cartel community and works alongside Tim on the coaching side, making sure no member ever has to figure it out alone the way she did. You might know her as @emz2ironman.
I want to be the person I didn't have when I started. Whatever level you're at, you've got someone who gets it.Elite-level coaching, a plan built around you, and a team that shows up. The first 150 lock in the founding rate for life, and help shape what Cartel becomes.
