A triathlon coaching community for everyone, beginner to elite. We don't just hand you a plan and leave you to it. We set your training to your zones, coach you to adapt it to your life, and do it together as a crew. So you don't just follow along, you actually get it.
This isn't a plan you download and decode on your own. It isn't a spreadsheet a robot spat out.
Your training is loaded into TrainingPeaks, built around your zones, and actually coached. You're never left to follow something blindly. We want you to understand why you're doing each session, so you become an athlete who can make their own calls on race day. An empowered athlete, not a dependent one.
And you don't do it alone. We do it together, as a team. A head coach, an ex-pro, an athlete walking the same path as you, and a whole crew in your corner. That is the coaching.
You don't need an athletic background. You don't need to already know anyone. You don't need to be fast. You just need to want to get better. Everyone trains under the same coaching, in the same community, for the same price.
One price. Everyone in. Here's exactly what's behind it.
Start from proven structure, then we set it to your zones from real testing and coach you to adapt it around your life. The plan flexes instead of breaking.
Regular calls with Tim, Cal and Em. Ask your questions in real time, learn the why behind the work, hear the ex-pro perspective. Every call recorded to watch back.
The hardest part of triathlon is doing it alone. You won't here. Real people, all levels, all over the world, getting each other to the start line.
The team is present in the community through the week. When something comes up mid-training, someone's there who knows the answer.
Every distance, sprint to full Ironman, plus single-sport blocks. Education, drills, and Tim's coaching philosophy explained.
Checklists, fuelling calculators, pacing guides, taper protocols. The stuff that keeps you on track when nerves kick in.
No mystery, no vague promises. This is the real thing you get access to the moment you join, structured programming in TrainingPeaks, a full classroom of coached lessons, and a plan for every distance.
A real week from a Cartel plan. Threshold tests, intervals with targets, strength work, every session with a purpose and the numbers behind it. Not a PDF you decode alone. Not a robot's spreadsheet. Loaded into TrainingPeaks and set to your zones.
Twice a week, Tim leads a live session and opens the floor. Cal drops in with the ex-pro view, Em asks what you're thinking. Bring a question, get a real answer. Can't make it live? Every call is recorded and waiting in your classroom.
A full library of coached education, built by Tim. Zone 2, fuelling, recovery, race strategy, all explained simply. So when a session lands in your plan, you understand what it's for and how to nail it. The library grows with you.

Checklists, fuelling, pacing. Race-day ready.
It all lives in one place on Skool, a simple, friendly app that keeps your plans, calls, classroom and crew together. You join, and you're in.
Hosted on Skool · skool.com/cartel-coachingThis is the bit you can't fake. Real athletes, real wins, real questions, every single day. First-timers and Kona qualifiers in the same feed, cheering each other on.
Years of elite coaching practice, from Olympic and Commonwealth Games athletes to first-timers. Tim leads the calls and builds the programming, and shares the why behind every session.
The real race experience to back it up. A decade as a professional triathlete with 16 podiums, bringing the insight you only get from someone who's raced at the very sharp end.
She's been there, and she walks it with you. On the same program, racing the same races, asking the questions you're thinking. Proof of what's possible when you don't go it alone.
Structured coaching, practical education, and accountability inside a community that actually gives a damn. Same approach whether you're lining up for your first sprint or chasing a Kona slot: train smart, understand why, and never do it alone.
I'm a coach based in Wanaka, New Zealand. I've coached at the Olympic level, worked with Commonwealth Games representatives, and helped pros win iron-distance races around the world. But the work I love most is taking someone who's just signed up for their first sprint tri and showing them they can do something they didn't think was possible.
The principles don't change whether you're chasing Kona or just trying to get across the line at your local. Structure matters. Recovery matters. Understanding why you're doing what you're doing matters most of all. I hold a Bachelor's and Master's in Physical Education from Otago and I'm an IRONMAN University Certified Coach.
I don't just want to tell you what to do. I want you to understand why you're doing it. An athlete who understands their training makes better decisions on race day, adapts when things go sideways, and stays in this sport for the long haul. That's what I'm here for.Former NZ professional triathlete and Ironman 70.3 champion. Sunshine Coast based. Triathlon has been my entire adult life. I raced professionally for years with multiple 70.3 wins and Ironman podiums, racing against legends like Craig Alexander and Cameron Brown. I once won a 70.3 by three seconds. Three. This sport is ridiculous and I love it.
When I retired from pro racing I built the Cupcake Cartel, a global triathlon team that's now 750+ athletes worldwide, and launched CUPCKE apparel because I reckon you should look good while you suffer. Now I'm back racing as an age grouper and the fire burns just as hot.
That's what Cartel Coaching is about. Real coaching, real community, totally accessible. Your tribe is here. Now let's get fast.Four years ago, I was 148 kilos, sitting in my corporate office genuinely thinking I was having a heart attack. Rock bottom has a very specific vibe and that was it. So I started running. Taught myself from YouTube. Got injured almost immediately because nobody told me what I was doing wrong. I didn't have a coach, a community, or a single person in my corner who could've said "hey, maybe slow down."
I figured it all out myself, the hard way. I know firsthand the difference between trying to work it out alone and having someone in your corner who actually knows what they're doing. It changes everything. That's why I'm here. I'm not a coach. I'm in this community as an athlete, training under Tim's guidance, still learning, still getting faster. I want to be the person I didn't have when I started. You might know me as @emz2ironman.
If I can go from 148 kilos to the Ironman World Championship in Kona in four years, anything really is possible.Triathlete-specific swim coaching under the Cartel umbrella. A focused way to fix the discipline most athletes find hardest.
Coached sessions across all three disciplines in one place. The kind of week that changes how you train for the rest of the year.
For athletes with a big goal who want a coach who knows them inside out. Fully personal, application only, a very limited number of spots.
Elite-level coaching, a plan built around you, and a community that shows up. One membership, everyone in.
